Date Added: 09/05/2022 @ 7:08am

BELLS Thursday 12th May practice at 2 p.m. at FREMINGTON I have several people starting to learn to ring, so if you think you might like to learn, or just have a go, then please give be a call. John 325216

Sadly it has been announced that the Rev Richard Hovill has died. He was vicar of Fremington between 1984 and 1994 when Paul Hockey took over. Many of you won't remember him, but some of the "old guard" will. We send our condolences and prayers to his family.

Looking ahead. The CHIVENOR LADIES CHOIR will be giving a concert for us on Tuesday 7th June probably at 7.30 p.m. Please put it in your diary. This concert was postponed from last year because of you know what. PROCEEDS FROM THE CONCERT WILL GO TO THE UKRAINE APPEAL. Tickets and prices to follow.

CHAIN OF PRAISE AND PRAYER AROUND THE SOUTH WEST It is planned to have a chain of praise and prayer around the South West coast on Saturday 4th June between 1030 and 11 a.m. If you are interested then have a look at www.southwestawake.com Here you can find out what it is all about and register if you wish to take part.

CROSSLINKS We are delighted to announce that we will have the opportunity to meet our Mission Partners - Alun and Debbie Burt and family on Wednesday 29th June at 7.30 p.m. in church. Please put it in your diary.

PRAYER LIST Before Covid interrupted everything, the weekly notice sheet used to include the names of folk who were unwell, in hospital or recovering I would like to start this again. If you know of anyone who would appreciate being on the list please let me know. Check with them first that they are happy to be included!

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee We are looking at what we can do to celebrate this occasion. There will be bells rung and either additional services, or at least a special format recommended by the Church of England, for our normal services. Also we are hoping to hold a celebratory Bring and Share Lunch on the Sunday with appropriate decorations. We will let you know next week what is planned and a list will be displayed for folk to sign up to show what they are happy to contribute to the meal. (This will ensure that we have a good variety of food and don't end up with 4 million sausage rolls and nothing else) (No offence to sausage rolls intended.)

Please note Fremington Church weekly notices together with the Prayer Diary are also available online on our website. www.fremingtonstpeters.org.uk
