Who We Are

Whoever YOU are, you will find a warm welcome at St Peter’s.

We are a relaxed and friendly church, and we welcome everyone to our Sunday services and to other events and activities. We believe that the message of Jesus is good news of great joy for all people.

At our Sunday services we meet together to sing God’s praise, to learn from God’s word, to pray for the needs of the world, and to support and encourage each other. We hold a variety of different services and we aim to combine the traditional with the contemporary. We always have some refreshments in the church hall after the service, so there is plenty of time to chat and to get to know one another.

Unfortunately, our vicar has recently stood down from his role due to ill health, so we are beginning the process of seeking his successor.

Many different people play their part in the life of our church, including: retired clergy and readers, wardens and PCC members, musicians and singers, pastoral visitors and carers, youth and children’s workers, cooks and caterers, bellringers and gardeners, administrators and cleaners. We believe that God calls each one of us to play our own unique part in the life of his church.

Our church office is normally open on Monday and Friday afternoons.  Please do drop in for a chat if you’re passing, or you can call Tom on 01271 523033.
