Inward

1. Prayer, discipleship & pastoral

• Gathering for prayer

• Teaching on prayer, making prayer resources available

• Meeting for prayer was an idea I heard
  
  

• Grow disciples

• Teaching (e.g Lent courses, on God’s abundance, Alpha, LLF)

• Home groups in each congregation (5 pre-covid)

  • Continuing a Lent course (some ecumenical)

  • Gentle building by encouragement 

  • Setting up in God’s time
    
    

• laity into residential & private homes for worship and HC

  • Have created and trained teams, by modelling good practice
    
    

2. Lay ministry

• Develop lay vocation & lay ministry

  • Have built a team of 13 LLM/LWLs

  •  (LWLs/LPMs/LLMs)

  • By Teaching - building and approaching gifted individuals

  • Working strategically 

  • Modelling (eg ordained and lay collaboration)

  • Waiting on God for the opportunity

• Develop worship

  • Develop existing services

  • Create new services

  • By Lay led worship and innovation, every congregation supported this

  • Strength and variety in music and informality

  • Family services (F eg FC with baptism)

  • Involve new families

  • Festival services eg evensong for Remembrance, Remembering, Community Celebration
    
    

3. Draw Mission Community together

• Single leadership team

• Single weekly sheets - visual ID

• Worship together

• To encourage and Share common/good practice

• Hosting

• MT - MC days (like this)

Outward

1. Families and young people, mentioned a lot yesterday 

• Links with occasional offices families (using LPMs)

• Schools - posters - OtB - govs

• Not always Sunday morning!

• Uniformed organisation

• Exciting and challenging baptism services

• Messy church (ecumenical)

• Every opportunity (e.g setting up nativity as activity)

2. Outreach to community

• Buildings available as community resource

  • Eg St Dominicks with multi-media

  • All Saints with facilities as 2nd village venue

• Housing developments, also identified yesterday 

  • Deliver leaflets and invitations (requests received occ offices)

  • Knock on door with team

• Exploring new uses of All Saints chapel

• Beach mission (expand)

• Regatta day & carols

• Whats the need / fam service (NOT Sunday morning!)

  • Toy service, community carols at G

• All Saints Chapel & Old School building

  • Eg St Odulph harvest supper, fete

• Open days for community

  • Heritage days
    
    

3. Communication

• Being seen as a beacon church in our communities

• Single parish news

  • E.g. Beacon

• Website with common calendar, FB & SM

• Communications leader - ensure we reaching as wide a group as possible

• Invitations to church events

• Getting us knows as a ‘happening church’
